The Color Darkroom is available for rent at the still low price of only $8 per hour plus $3 for each 8x10, with our color paper, or $2.50 each if you bring your own color paper. 11x14's are only $4, and 16x20 prints just $6. We can accommodate any color negatives all the way up to 4x5 and we use Fuji Crystal Archive and Kodak Endura Professional papers. One MAJOR difference between OPTICAL prints and digital prints, in addition to being completely waterproof, is that OPTICAL prints can be scanned on any inexpensive flatbed scanner to produce digital files at least 300mb in size. Digital prints can't be scanned and printed much larger than original size because all the details are pixillated.

The shot below of famed sand painter Joe Ben Jr. was scanned from an 11x14 optical print, cleaned up a bit in Photoshop, and then reduced to the 600 pixel wide shot you see here.
