A Beginning/Intermediate Digital Photography Course for those who already have a little experience with their Digital Camera. You will see how to use all your camera options more creatively to make amazing photographs. You will learn the art of composition: how vision and light work together to bring your subjects to life, whether people pictures, landscapes or special effects. You will also learn a few invaluable shortcuts for using Photoshop or Lightroom to fine tune your image and give it that professional edge. And, since we don't sell cameras, we can give you unbiased advice on what new camera equipment or lenses you might consider buying in the future because digital cameras are changing all the time.
And, as always, any classes that you have to miss can be made up for free during any following semester.
The Creative Digital Photography Class will be offered again starting on Thursday, March 8th.

CREATIVE FILM PHOTOGRAPHY
Wednesdays 7:30-9:30pm starting March 7th
4 weeks of Photography Classes and
6 weeks use of the Darkroom $195
To Register, call Don Oberbeck 303-444-4568
If you have some film camera
familiarity, this is your course, regardless of darkroom experience.
The content is similar to that of the Beginning Class, but after a
review of the basics, we'll discuss creative techniques like multiple
exposures, long time exposures, panning, zooming, working in very dim
light, filters and flash photography. You'll learn to see the way a
camera does, how Composition really works, and how to make very good
photographs of practically any subject, with any film: Black and White,
Color Slides or wonderful Color Negatives.
Then you will learn not only how to
make great Black & White prints in
the darkroom, and special effects like solarization, high contrast
Kodalith, and toning but creative ways to use your film photographs in
Photoshop to make great web pages or self published books.
This course includes 4 two-hour classroom periods
from 7:30 to 9:30 pm on Wednesdays, and 6 weeks unlimited use of the
B&W Darkrooms, as well as free make-up credit for whatever
classes you might happen to miss.
The Creative Film Photography Class will be
offered again starting in May.
