CITY AND COUNTY OF BOULDER
NATURE HIKE PHOTO CLASSES
The City and County of Boulder have an Open Space and Parks system that is second to none in the world. The photographic opportunities here are limitless and so we occasionally schedule NATURE HIKE PHOTO CLASSES on Saturday mornings.
The cost is $35/person, or $50 for a couple, and the classes are limited to 4 people. You should bring your camera and hopefully a tripod. The classes run from 9:00am to around Noon, and the location will depend on the weather that day and class wishes, but there are hundreds of great choices from Chautauqua Park to Walden Ponds and especially Boulder Creek, as in the photograph at the bottom of this page.
A Great Gift for only $35...or just $50 for two. Call 303-444-4568 for available dates.
Saturday, May 26th, from 9:00am to Noon, is our next scheduled Nature Hike.
Also, you should think about participating in the Boulder County Parks and Open Space Foundation Juried Photography Show of images taken of Boulder County Open Space. The show is called "Land Through The Lens".
The deadline for submissions is Nov. 9th, 2012.
Note: the photos must be of Boulder COUNTY Open Space, not City Open Space. The entry fee is only $25 for up to 6 images. More information, including links to maps of Boulder County Open Space Lands can be found
HERE.
Our Photo Hike photographers will have access to create photographs in certain usually restricted areas of the incredible, world class Boulder County Open Space system.
Don Oberbeck and the Boulder Photo Center have been offering classes
through the
City of Boulder Parks & Recreation Catalog for more than 20 years,
including classes in Digital Photography, Beginning 35mm Film Photography, Studio
Photography and several levels of Photoshop, as well as kid's classes & Field Trips.
